A. UAE stands for United Arab Emirates which was formed in 1971. There are seven independent emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al-Khaimah, Umm Al-Quawain and Fujairah. While Abu Dhabi is the capital city of the UAE, Dubai is its commercial center.
